Eleutherococcus senticosus is native to North Eastern Asia and is also referred to as Eleuthero or Siberian Ginseng. It has traditionally been used in Eastern countries such as Russia and China for its varied actions on overall wellbeing.Recognised as an ‘adaptogen’ in Western medicine, Eleuthero, has been used to support the body to adapt to various stresses, whether they be mental or physical. The natural plant compounds in Eleuthero, known as ‘eleutherosides’ are known to exert a nourishing action on the adrenal glands, The adrenal glands are the tiny glands that sit above the kidneys and are involved with stress reactions. Eleuthero may be of support in relieving chronic fatigue. Eleuthero may also help to increase energy, endurance, concentration and performance.
