Tribe Nature Bombs
Looking for on-the-go snacks to fuel your training regimen? Check out Tribe.
Makers of natural energy and recovery products, Tribe is on a mission to keep you fuelled, whatever your passion. Mountain biking or climbing, ultramarathons, a Sunday jog, or simply keeping up with the kids, these natural, (mostly) vegan, and gluten-free products are designed to make your everyday performance extraordinary.
Tribe use unrefined wholefoods to make bars, bombs, and beverages free from chemicals, preservatives, and emulsifiers. The company understands that athletes have specific needs when it comes to nutrition and that without the right fuel, injuries and poor performance are far more likely. Unlike many sports nutrition products, which are packed with sugar and unhealthy fats and additives, Tribe products use only natural ingredients. There are no artificial chemicals, preservatives, sulphites or refined sugar in any of their products.
Why Tribe?
Tribe was founded by Tom Stancliffe, Rob Martineau, and Guy Hacking – three runners and friends who together ran the inspirational 1,000 mile Run for Love in 2013. This run, from Odessa to Dubrovnik, saw 250 runners teaming up to raise funds to help set up the first UK home for trafficked children. Guy and Tom helped organise the run that sent participants through some of the countries with the highest rates of child-trafficking – Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria.
Inspired by their success in the run, which raised over £250,000, the co-founders of Tribe established a charity called the Tribe Freedom Foundation. The explicit goal of the foundation is to raised funds to help end human trafficking and modern slavery. To date, the foundation has raised more than half a million pounds (£501,904 at the time of writing), thanks to the Tribe community of fundraisers.
That Tribe community is also obsessive about road-testing every new Tribe product, which means you can be sure the Tribe Nature Bombs are both delicious and nutritious.
Tribe products are created with plant-based proteins including peanut butter
Their only non-vegan products currently are their Maca + Honey Protein Bar and their Bogoya Banana Protein bar, both of which contain honey. All Tribe products are gluten-free and dairy-free, but they are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, sesame seeds, milk, soya, and cereals containing gluten.
If you’re looking for nut-free fare from Tribe, check out their Protein Shakes and Hydrate Drinks, both of which are entirely nut-free.
Nature Bombs from Tribe
For the ultimate on-the-go snack, Tribe’s Nature Bombs are hard to beat. These tasty treats pack in around 8 grams of protein, depending on the flavour, just 12 grams each of fat and carbs (less than 6 g of sugar!), and less than 200 calories. That’s around 60% less sugar than similar products from other brands.
Nature Bombs are made with pea protein crispies, almond butter, rice protein, and a whole host of delicious natural ingredients. Tribe’s signature vitamin and mineral blend is included to provide extra vitamin C, Iron, Zinc, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B2, Thiamine, Iodine, Biotin, Chromium, and Vitamin B12.
Tribe Nature Bombs come in three delicious flavours including:
- Choc Caramel and Almond Butter
- Choc and Hazelnut Butter
- Choc and Cashew Butter
There are also Snow Bombs, which contain a soft nut butter core, crispy protein granola layer and a rich vegan chocolate coating. These offer 7 g of plant protein, up to 25% less sugar than other leading protein and energy balls, 10 essential vitamins and minerals and less than 100 calories per bomb.
All of the flavours are gluten-free and vegan-friendly, so stock up for your next grand adventure because your friends are sure to think they’re the bomb.
