Product Description

Echinaforce Sore Throat Spray is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to relieve sore throats associated with coughs, colds and flu. This is based on traditional use only. Always read the leaflet.

Ingredients

Ingredients: 1ml of spray contains the tinctures of: Fresh Echinacea herb 863.3mg (Echinacea purpurea (L.) (1:12-13). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 65% V/V, Fresh Echinacea root 45.5mg (Echinacea purpurea (L.) (1:11-12). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 65% V/V, Fresh Sage leaves 430.0mg (Salvia officinalis (L.) folium) (1:17-18). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 68% V/V, sucrose laurate, soy lecithin, ethanol, peppermint oil and sorbitol liquid.

This medicinal product contains 38-42 vol% ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 163mg per two sprays, equivalent to 3.7ml beer (less than a tablespoon) or 1.5ml wine (less than half a teaspoon) per dose.

Additives: Sucrose laurate, soy lecithin, ethanol, peppermint oil, sorbitol liquid.

Additional Information: Do not use this product after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Use within two months of opening. This product does not require any special storage conditions. Do not use this product if you notice a change in appearance. It should be a clear liquid that is brown to yellow-green in colour.

Directions: Adults and the elderly: two sprays six to ten times daily. Avoid getting this spray in your eyes. If you accidentally spray into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

Do not take this product If you are allergic to Echinacea or plants of the daisy family or any of the ingredients in this product. If you have a tendency to allergies such as hives, allergic eczema or asthma. If you are taking ciclosporin or methotrexate, or any other immunosuppressant medicine. If you are taking another medicine which is affected by alcohol. If you suffer from TB, sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease such as collagenoses or multiple sclerosis, HIV, AIDS or any other condition which decreases your resistance to infection, a disorder which affects your white blood cells such as agranulocytosis (low white blood cell count due to bone marrow disorders) or leukemia. If you are having treatment to reduce the response of your immune system e.g. chemotherapy, radiotherapy. If you have had an organ or bone marrow transplant.
