Tony Hufflett is a beekeeper in Crowborough and keeps his hives less that a mile from the shop at Spring Garden, Park Lane.

He has been keeping bees for about 10 years in his garden and a neighbour’s garden as a hobby, so the honey is mixed blossom honey from across Crowborough and Ashdown Forest.

If you live in Crowborough then some of the honey may have come from your garden, as bees will travel a mile or two to forage for nectar.

Tony is a member of the High Weald Beekeeping Association and has six or so hives which produce a limited amount of honey each year. Tony’s bees are local strains originally collected from swarms and then given a new home.
