Origin: The prickly pear is native to Mexico and N. America. It is now also highly produced in Morocco, Tunisia and South Africa. Oil comes from the Prickly Pear cactus also known as the Barbary Fig. Its been for many years used by people to heal and moisturise their skin.

Prickly pear oil has anti-ageing properties that may help prevent fine lines and reduce wrinkles. With its healing properties may also help reduce the dark circles around the eyes. May be used as a moisturiser on its own or mixed with an anti-acne essential oils such as lavender or tea tree.

Colour and Odour: Its colour can range from clear to yellow or light green. It has a light nutty scent.

Texture: Prickly pear oil is a light oil with a thin texture.
